I&#039;m getting this problem in Windows too, however, so I don&#039;t think it&#039;s a Linux thing.  I don&#039;t know if Google Reader does any &lt;code&gt;text-shadow&lt;/code&gt; CSS stuff, but if they do, it might be that the Firefox betas are rendering it incorrectly.  I&#039;d be surprised if they haven&#039;t caught it by this point though.</description>
