In an ear­lier post I pro­posed that all LPs include CDs, being that CDs are so cheap to pro­duce and that I’ve already spent thir­teen bucks on the musi­cal content.

Since then I bought Songs: Ohia’s Mag­no­lia Elec­tric Co. on vinyl and dis­cov­ered that it comes with a bonus CD full of acoustic demos from the album, and at least one that isn’t from the album (“The Big Game Is Every Night,” one of my favorite Songs: Ohia songs).

Now Matt of You Ain’t No Picasso reports that Mount Eerie will include a CD with the LP of their forth­com­ing No Flash­light. This is good news. Buy the LP and help empha­size the impor­tant dif­fer­ence between home and portable audio.
